As a BI and Analytics Engineer, you will work with licensed clinicians, engineers, product professionals, creatives, marketers, and business leaders to develop best‑in‑class data tools that support our mission. What we’re looking for We need a data professional who can build scalable data tools, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and maintain data quality across the pipeline. What you’ll do Act as a subject matter expert and deliver training to cross‑functional teams to enable data‑driven decisions. Deliver direct analytical insights such as dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses to business stakeholders. Collaborate with teams to understand use cases and deliver high‑value data tools. Write and maintain SQL for data extraction and transformation. Ensure data quality and freshness throughout the pipeline. Create reverse ETL flows to deliver modeled data directly to stakeholders. Define and build robust DataOps pipelines and data expectations. Propose and integrate new data sources and software solutions into the reporting environment. Teach stakeholders and create documentation to empower data analysis. Work with data and machine learning engineers on a modern data stack: Airflow, FiveTran, Snowflake, dbt, and Looker. We operate on PST and welcome candidates in any time zone. Employees are expected to travel to our San Jose, CA office up to three times per year and attend a company‑wide off‑site. Travel expenses are covered. Requirements Ability to work in the US (visa sponsorship not available for this role). BSc/MA in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or Engineering. At least 2 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or related field. Advanced experience with data pipeline tools, especially in‑warehouse transformation tools (preferably dbt). Advanced experience with SQL. Experience designing performant tables in OLAP warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery). At least 1 year experience with BI tools (preferably Looker). Familiarity with dimensional modeling frameworks (e.g., Kimball, Data Vault). Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Comfort using the command line. Experience using git for version control. Bonus skills (great to have, not required) Experience with large‑scale data transformations (dbt incremental models, scaling patterns). Experience with Python workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow). Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS). Experience with web‑based B2C marketplace products. Familiarity with web event tracking tools like Snowplow. Experience defining and building DataOps practices and deployment strategies. Experience with data governance, catalogs, and procedures.
