Security Officer (unarmed)
About the Role
Supports safety and security operations through patrols, monitoring, access control, and customer assistance, adapting to site-specific requirements and client expectations. Compensation: $15.94/hr. Responsibilities include maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors, and providing supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and experience required include a high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications, strong vision abilities, ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., valid driver's license, and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable. Desired qualifications include previous work experience with the public in a service setting. Taser qualifications include ability to meet qualification standards, obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser, participate in and pass additional Taser training, and demonstrate a working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian's Taser Policy.
Physical demands and work environment include sitting, standing, and walking for variable amounts of time, use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, lifting and/or moving objects 25 pounds or more, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation. Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure.
