What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and support site rules.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access authorization, and report access control concerns or policy violations to site leadership.
• Support emergency and security-related response efforts, including assisting with evacuations, restricted area checks, and coordination with local law enforcement and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
