Job Description
Stak Services LLC is seeking customer service minded and vigilant Security Guards to protect our Class A commercial properties in Oakland. In this role, you will serve as the first line of support and security for residents, visitors, and vendors by conducting patrols, monitoring access points and surveillance systems, and responding quickly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and on-site needs. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, calm under pressure, professional in appearance and communication, and hold a current California Guard Card.
Key Responsibilities
• Patrol entrances, exits, common areas, garage areas, rooftop access, stairwells, and connecting pedestrian bridges
• Monitor and enforce access control for employees, tenants, vendors, and guests
• Use two-way radios and internal SOPs for communication and coordination
• Monitor cameras or alarms and investigate suspicious activity promptly
• Respond to disturbances, document incidents, and escalate issues as needed
• Assist residents and vendors with access or safety-related inquiries
• Collaborate with emergency services when required
• Complete daily activity logs and detailed incident reports
• Take all rest and meal breaks in accordance with California labor laws
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Valid and current California Guard Card required xywuqvp
• 1+ year of experience in security, law enforcement, or public safety preferred
• CPR / First Aid certification is a plus
• Excellent situational awareness and de-escalation skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods and respond rapidly in emergencies
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
