Security Engineer

No 3rd Party Candidates or 3rd Parties must be a W2 consultant, in addition this is a hybrid 2 days onsite.

Hands-On Security Engineering Experience

• Mid-level engineer with 4–6 years of practical experience
• Someone technical and execution-focused rather than policy/governance-heavy

Ability to Work in Flexible R&D Environments

• Comfortable supporting researchers and engineering teams
• Must enable innovation, not slow teams down with rigid processes
• Adaptable, autonomous, and comfortable with ambiguity

Strong Foundation in System & Network Security

• Core understanding of:
• System security
• Network security
• Vulnerability management
• Security best practices

GitHub Advanced Security Experience

• Likely one of the top technical priorities
• Secure development workflows, code scanning, secret scanning, dependency/security monitoring

AWS Security Knowledge (Highly Preferred)

• IAM
• Cloud security controls
• Security monitoring within AWS
• Understanding secure cloud infrastructure practices

Security Tooling & Vulnerability Management

• Experience with:
• SecurityScorecard
• Checkmarx
• Exposure to risk assessments, remediation, and improving security posture

Soft Skills / Collaboration

• Strong communication with technical stakeholders
• Ability to partner closely with engineering and research teams
• Self-driven and able to operate independently with minimal oversight
