About the Role
Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in Athens, TN. As a key member of our patient-centered care team, the Registered Nurse will provide safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients across a variety of clinical settings within the hospital. This role is responsible for performing comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring and documenting patient responses, and collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
The Registered Nurse at Starr Regional Medical Center will support patients and families through clear communication, education, and emotional support, helping them understand diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge instructions. The nurse will utilize strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills to respond to changing patient conditions, recognize and escalate signs of deterioration, and participate actively in emergency and rapid response situations when needed. Adherence to infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards is essential, as is accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
