Respiratory Therapist Ii (rrt) General Pool

Novant Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) General Pool to provide advanced, evidence‑based respiratory care for patients across a variety of acute and critical care settings. As a key member of our Healthcare & Medical Services team, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and deliver a full range of therapeutic interventions for adult and, as assigned, pediatric and neonatal patients. Using advanced technology and clinical judgment, you will manage ventilators and other life-support equipment, administer and monitor aerosol and oxygen therapies, perform airway management, and conduct diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, participating in care rounds, making evidence-based recommendations, and adjusting therapies based on patient response and clinical protocols. You will document care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines. As a Respiratory Therapist II, you will serve as a clinical resource for less experienced therapists, precept new team members as needed, and contribute to maintaining competency and high standards of practice within the department.
The Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) General Pool position offers exposure to a broad range of patient populations and units, including emergency, medical-surgical, step-down, intensive care, and specialty areas depending on hospital needs.
