What You‘ll Do as a Respiratory Therapist

Administer therapeutic gases, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, and the full range of respiratory treatments

Perform advanced procedures including intubation, arterial line insertions, mini-BALs, chest physiotherapy, and CPR

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and adjust therapy based on clinical response

Respond to rapid response and code events across ICU, Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, and inpatient units

Collaborate with pulmonologists, intensivists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes

Document all patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the medical record

What You Bring

Associate‘s Degree in Respiratory Care required; Bachelor‘s preferred

Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure required

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care required within 1 year of hire

1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply

Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) working toward RRT credentialing will be considered

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required at hire

ACLS and PALS certifications required within 1 year of hire

Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first approach to patient care
