Overview The analyst will support a research team led by Dr. Deena Costa at Yale School of Nursing, providing programming, reporting, and data management for researchers. Responsibilities include developing queries, reports, and application programming, managing datasets from electronic health systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and Yale policies, and documenting projects. Principal Responsibilities Develop queries, reports, and data extracts using health system data and tools. Communicate with researchers to understand data requirements and propose solutions. Adhere to data compliance policies and maintain project status in departmental tools. Document project specifications and track progress. Provide training and share best practices with team members. Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements. Required Skills and Abilities Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills focused on health systems research, epidemiology or biostatistics. Experience with statistical software such as R, SPSS or STATA. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently. Understanding of federal regulations and university policies related to clinical research and data compliance. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills and Abilities Master’s degree in health data analysis, biostatistics or related field. Experience in systems‑level research, mixed methods, data extraction, HIPAA regulations and IRB requirements. Required Education and Experience Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline and one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Compensation and Work Arrangement Salary range: $61,500 – $91,875 (dependent on qualifications). Part‑time: 21 hours per week, hybrid work model.
