About the Role
Methodist Children's Hospital, a part of SA Health, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a technologically advanced pediatric environment. Working closely with pediatricians, specialists, and an interdisciplinary care team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition. You will educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and home care, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and involved in decision-making. Drawing on evidence-based practice and hospital protocols, you will maintain accurate electronic health records, follow infection prevention and safety standards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. You will participate in care conferences, collaborate with colleagues to coordinate safe discharges and transitions of care, and serve as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of pediatric patients.
