About the Role

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in a dynamic hospital environment. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients across a variety of acuity levels, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes. In this role, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments safely, and monitor patients’ responses while maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. You will educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions, supporting them in making informed decisions about their health. MVHS fosters a supportive culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and employee welfare, and you will be expected to participate actively in shift handoffs, care conferences, quality-improvement initiatives, and unit-based projects aimed at enhancing patient safety and satisfaction. The Registered Nurse will adhere to all hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory guidelines, while advocating for patient rights and upholding professional and ethical nursing practice. You will help orient and mentor new staff and students as needed, contribute to a positive work environment, and seek opportunities for ongoing professional development through continuing education and specialty certifications. Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing or equivalent
