Registered Nurse Emergency

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in our fast-paced ER, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening trauma and medical emergencies. You will be responsible for rapid assessment, triage, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions, as well as ongoing evaluation of patient responses and adjustment of care plans. Working closely with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff, you will collaborate to stabilize patients, administer medications, perform procedures within your scope of practice, and coordinate diagnostic tests and treatments. You will provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families, including education on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions, while maintaining patient dignity and emotional support during highly stressful situations. This role requires strong critical thinking, the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands, and calm, effective decision-making in high-pressure environments. You will adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory standards, including documentation, infection prevention, medication safety, and patient privacy requirements.
