Registered Nurse Emergency Department

StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of the HCA Virginia Health System, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a Registered Nurse in our fast-paced ER, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and medical-surgical emergencies. You will perform rapid patient assessments, triage according to established Emergency Department protocols, administer medications and treatments, initiate and monitor IV therapy, interpret and respond to diagnostic tests, and collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement appropriate plans of care. You will continuously monitor and reassess patient status, respond quickly and effectively to changes in condition, and intervene in life-threatening situations using advanced clinical judgment and evidence-based practices. In this role, you will document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record, ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards, and participate in quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives. You will support patients and families through education, clear communication, and emotional support in often stressful and uncertain circumstances, reflecting StoneSprings Hospital Center’s culture of compassion, integrity, and ethical practice. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years of recent emergency department or acute care experience, strong critical-thinking and prioritization skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity, high-volume environment. You should be comfortable with rapid decision-making, effective in de-escalating tense situations, and skilled at working as part of a cohesive, collaborative team.
