Registered Nurse Clinical Decision Unit

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Clinical Decision Unit within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients requiring short-term observation, rapid assessment, and continued evaluation following emergency department visits, surgical procedures, or changes in clinical status. Working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs and diagnostic results, and promptly recognize and respond to changes in patient condition. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, case management, and interdisciplinary team members to determine appropriate patient disposition, including discharge, admission, or transfer to a higher level of care, ensuring safe and timely transitions.
