Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care Surgery Center (full Time

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for Imaging Services to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department in El Paso, TX. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse Imaging Services provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, and fluoroscopy. In this role, you will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement patient-centered care plans, monitor patient status before, during, and after imaging procedures, and respond promptly to changes in condition. You will administer medications and contrast agents safely, perform IV insertion and maintenance, provide moderate sedation within scope and policy, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Working closely with radiologists, technologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, you will coordinate patient flow, verify procedural consents, participate in time-outs, and advocate for patient safety at every step. You will educate patients and families about imaging procedures, pre- and post-procedure instructions, and follow-up care, ensuring questions are addressed with empathy and clarity. The nurse in this role adheres to hospital policies, infection prevention standards, radiation safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment within the imaging department.
