Radiology Tech (ct)
Baylor Scott & White Health
Burleson, Texas, US
About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Radiology Tech (CT) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team and support high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients across our integrated care network. In this role, you will perform CT and routine radiologic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment, working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to deliver safe, accurate, and timely diagnostic studies. You will greet and prepare patients, verify orders and patient identity, obtain appropriate histories, and explain procedures in a clear and compassionate manner to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation. Using advanced CT scanners and radiographic equipment, you will position patients accurately, select appropriate technical factors and protocols, administer or assist with IV contrast according to established guidelines, and consistently apply radiation safety practices to protect patients, yourself, and staff. You will monitor patients before, during, and after imaging, recognize and respond to changes in condition, and follow emergency procedures when needed.
The Radiology Tech (CT) will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images that meet department standards and radiologist expectations, reviewing images for proper positioning, anatomy coverage, and technical quality before releasing to PACS. You will document all procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic health record and radiology information systems, maintain accurate contrast and supply usage logs, and adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards. The role includes performing routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and promptly reporting malfunctions to ensure minimal disruption to patient care. You will support workflow efficiency by prioritizing studies based on clinical urgency, assisting with patient transport when necessary, and collaborating with schedulers and nursing staff to coordinate add-on and emergent exams.
Aligned with Baylor Scott & White Health’s culture of caring, collaboration, and innovation, you will contribute to a respectful, inclusive work environment and support continuous improvement in patient experience, quality, and safety. You will participate in ongoing education and training related to CT protocols, radiation dose optimization, infection prevention, and new imaging technologies, and may assist with training students or new team members. This position offers the opportunity to grow your CT expertise within a leading not-for-profit healthcare system, with access to advanced imaging equipment and a multidisciplinary team committed to transformative healthcare. Baylor Scott & White Health provides a supportive environment that encourages professional development, advancement, and meaningful contributions to patient care every day.
This is an on-site clinical role that may require rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage to support 24/7 patient care needs. Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package—including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, retirement plan options, and access to system-wide resources—are available to support your well-being and long-term career growth within the organization.
