About the Role

Tufts Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist, Sign-on Bonus Eligible, to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our busy hospital-based imaging department. As an integral member of our care team, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic examinations for patients across the lifespan, supporting inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and the emergency department in a fast-paced academic medical center environment. You will use advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring exams are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently in accordance with departmental protocols, radiation safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. In this role, you will work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other members of the care team to support timely diagnosis and treatment. You will be responsible for properly positioning patients, setting appropriate exposure factors, operating radiologic equipment, and verifying that images meet diagnostic quality requirements before submission to the radiologist for interpretation. You will maintain meticulous attention to patient identification, exam verification, and documentation in the electronic medical record and PACS, while following all infection control and patient safety procedures. A strong patient-care focus is essential, as you will explain procedures, address questions, and provide reassurance and comfort to patients and their families, including those who may be anxious, in pain, or have limited mobility. You will adapt imaging techniques to meet individual patient needs, using safe transfer methods and positioning aids, and you will work with healthcare providers to support exams in critical care, surgical, and emergency situations. Your commitment to the ALARA principle and to proper use of personal protective equipment will help ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and yourself. The position typically requires an associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent, current ARRT registration or eligibility, and applicable state licensure, along with current BLS certification. This is a full-time, on-site clinical role that may involve rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call hours to support 24/7 patient care.
