Works closely with Director of Imaging and Radiologist to supervise and perform radiographic examinations. Contributes to the efficient operation of the department and ensures quality and continuity of patient care. Radiology Technologist - Medical Imaging Services Director LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required CRT license required, fluoro permit required within 6 months of employment start date. QUALIFICATIONS: Able to work independently with minimal supervision. The employee must demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor. Does not require the performance of procedures or other tasks in the work routine that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, and the assisting in cases of emergency medical care or first aid is not a requirement of employment. Tasks that involve handling of implements or utensils, use of the public or shared bathroom facilities, telephones, and personal contacts such as handshaking, are all considered Category 3 tasks.) Radiologic Technologist (AHCL) Assists physician in administering opaque media. clerical through technical, as needed. Instructs and trains ancillary personnel as necessary and assists with cross training of other x-ray personnel. Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies. Maintains and troubleshoots lazar printing equipment and PACS. Maintains quality control for designated area and participates in hospital-wide quality assurance program. Operates imaging equipment to produce radiographs of designated areas of the body. Provides safe, age appropriate care.
