About the Role

LifeBridge Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our hospital-based imaging department. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations using digital X-ray and related imaging equipment to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for a diverse patient population. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will verify physician orders, review patient histories, explain procedures, and position patients safely and comfortably to obtain optimal images while minimizing radiation exposure according to ALARA principles and departmental protocols. You will operate, calibrate, and trouble-shoot imaging equipment, select appropriate technical factors, and ensure images are complete, properly labeled, and promptly transmitted within the PACS system. The Radiographer is responsible for maintaining strict adherence to infection prevention standards, patient identification policies, and regulatory guidelines, as well as verifying pregnancy status and applying appropriate shielding. You will assist with portable and emergency department exams, surgical and fluoroscopic procedures as credentialed, and prioritize workflow to support critical patients while maintaining courteous, compassionate communication. Documentation of procedures, contrast use as applicable, and any patient incidents in the electronic medical record is expected, alongside collaboration with radiologists on additional views or repeat imaging when required. You will contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement by participating in quality assurance activities, image quality review, equipment checks, and safety huddles, and by reporting service or safety issues promptly.
