About the Role
Lake Jackson VA Clinic is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join our team in Lake Jackson, TX. The Psychiatrist will perform psychiatric evaluations, treat patients with problems of personality, emotional adjustment, or mental illness. The psychiatrist will prescribe medications as deemed necessary for the treatment of mental illnesses and recommend appropriate therapy based on precedent and standards of the profession. Psychiatrist will also oversee the treatment performed by medical students and psychiatry residents; and instruct
them in the typical patterns of progression of mental illnesses during treatment.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non- citizen candidates*)Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. StateBoard Certified/Board Eligible (Preferred)Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based psychiatric and psychological practices. (Preferred)Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans.
