Job Summary and Qualifications
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. 60;
Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. 60;Identifies 60;nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while 60;utilizing 60;an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. 60;
When acting in 60;charge 60;nurse role, registered nurses 60;are responsible for 60;day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment. Make staff assignments based on patient need, 60;acuity 60;and the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical 60;resource 60;for the staff. Respond 60;in a timely manner 60;to 60;requests for 60;information or follow-up with physician, 60;staff 60;or patient issues. 60;
What you will do in this role: 60;
You will assess plans and evaluate the 60;patients 60;care needs and will carry out physician orders. 60;
You will administer prescribed medications, 60;changes 60;dressings, cleans wounds, 60;monitors 60;vital signs. 60;
You will 60;monitor, 60;record 60;and communicate patient 60;condition 60;as appropriate 60;utilizing 60;computerized documentation systems. 60;
You will instruct and educate patients and families as 60;part of part 60;of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team. 60;
What qualifications you will need: 60;
Registered Nurse from accredited school of nursing 60;
Current Licensure with 60;TN 60;Board of Nursing 60;
Current BLS 60;
ACLS within 6 months of hire 60;
One year of clinical nursing experience preferred 60;

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
