Job Description: Responsible to assist with development, execution and maintenance of the procurement strategy through the procurement of the most critical and complex materials, equipment, technology, and/or other goods and services. Identifies new savings opportunities through research of spending patterns, review of overall expenditures and ongoing communication with all areas and levels of the organization. Facilitates processes and negotiations to obtain the highest value in purchased goods and services in order to increase business line net profitability. Consults with internal customers, vendors and other strategic sourcing staff and provides advice and guidance on the most efficient and effective procurement methods and contract negotiations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of procurement related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of purchasing, procurement, and contract administration
- Well-developed financial and market analysis skills and experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and operations
- Basic understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services and regulatory trends that impact the assigned business line
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Location Expectations: This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.
