Job Posting The City of Brooklyn Park is looking for an aspiring urban planner or GIS professional to join our Planning Department. As an intern, you’ll work with our award-winning GIS program to support city projects and improve local services. This 11-week internship (May/June 2026 start, up to 40 hrs/week) offers hands‑on experience preparing maps and data for the 2050 Comprehensive Plan, creating and managing GIS datasets, building data visualizations, and supporting or leading GIS and planning projects. The position is hybrid, requiring three in‑office days (including Wednesdays) with up to two remote days, and offers flexible weekday hours.
