Hospital employed Orthopedic Surgeon opportunity in New Mexico. Physician would take call for emergency and general ortho cases. Specialty training would be welcome as long as the general is done the majority of the time. Candidate should be comfortable with pediatric patients. There are three ORs that have block scheduling, with ?? to full days as needed. Ten days of call per month is required, to include 1 weekend a month. The facility does 300 to 500 major procedures annually. The Orthopedic physician will be employed by the hospital; the office is located at the clinic. An E.H.R. is in being installed in about 6 months. The payer mix is 70% Medicare/Medicaid, 25% commercial insurance and 5% self-pay.
