About the Role

Job Description
Join our Team at the
Department of Veterans VA Medical Center, San Francisco, CA as a Physician - Psychiatrist! The Inpatient and Interventional Psychiatrist serves as an Attending Psychiatrist for the SFVA Acute Recovery Center Inpatient Unit in which they provide psychiatric care to veterans requiring inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations. The incumbent also provides inpatient and outpatient interventional psychiatry care such as ketamine infusion, electromagnetic stimulation treatment, and transmagnetic stimulation treatment to veterans as part of a multidisciplinary team. The psychiatrist also provides supervision and mentorship of UCSF trainees, and also serves as VA faculty back up for on call residents at the SFVA. The incumbent works with a multidisciplinary team providing mental health care to Veterans with diagnoses such as Schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders as well as complex/treatment-resistant mood disorders including Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, and Anxiety Disorders. $300K - $315K
(negotiable based on candidates qualifications, credentials and experience)

Work Schedule:
Full-time. Schedule will be determined by supervisor
Pay:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off:
50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
