Physician - Infectious Disease - Ann Arbor

Trinity Health Ann Arbor, Michigan, US

About the Role

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group has a full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease physician to join a well-established multi-specialty group practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The selected candidate will join eight other physicians and one APP in a group practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of adult infections. Many of our providers have extensive expertise in areas such as HIV, hepatitis, wound care, global health, TB, antimicrobial stewardship, hospital epidemiology, bone/joint infections, clinical research, and hospital leadership. We have a robust pharmacy department and a dedicated ID/antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist.

This is predominately an inpatient opportunity with some ambulatory practice, typically one-half day clinic per week. The clinic includes dedicated medical assistants and an HIV/ID nurse. There is some rounding assistance during the week with an advanced practice professional (APP). The weekday (and holiday) call is shared equally among the group. Weekend call is shared equally amongst the physicians in the group, with weekend rounding assistance provided by the ID fellow and/or an APP.

The hospital is a tertiary referral center which also houses a long-term acute care hospital. We also provide in-person and telemedicine coverage for Trinity Health Brighton. We use EPIC EMR.

This practice offers the opportunity to participate in academic and research activities including the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The fellowship program has 2-3 fellows. There are regular educational opportunities available with ID Grand Rounds, noon didactic conferences, and microbiology plate rounds. Our fellows regularly publish with our faculty, and we have providers with extensive nationally recognized research publications and leadership experience. Our group has excellent representation on hospital committees and medical staff leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right Infectious Disease physician to be part of a well-established group practice.
