About the Role
Physician Assistant | On-Site | Family Medicine | Durham, North Carolina
Bull City Family Medicine & Pediatrics, a respected independent primary care practice in Durham, NC, is seeking a full or part-time Physician Assistant to join our collaborative clinical team. We provide comprehensive family medicine and pediatric care with a strong emphasis on continuity, prevention, and whole-person wellness.
As an independent practice, we value meaningful provider-patient relationships, clinical autonomy, and a supportive environment where your voice matters.
Position Highlights
* 100% Outpatient Family Medicine & Pediatrics
* Full-time Schedule or (part-time 3 days/week)
* On-Site Role
* 1 weekend per month required
* Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience and hours worked
* Benefits eligibility for clinicians working more than 22 hours/week
* Modern EHR supporting efficient documentation and care coordination
* Broad Scope of Practice: preventive care, chronic disease management, acute visits, and pediatric care
* Supportive Clinical Environment with experienced physicians and long-tenured staff
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct patient evaluations, physical exams, and medical histories
* Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests
* Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
* Provide patient education and preventive care counseling
* Document care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
* Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Education
* Licensed Physician Assistant (PA)
* Graduation from an accredited PA
* Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
* Current North Carolina licensure (or eligibility)
* Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
Skills & Competencies
* Excellent diagnostic and clinical judgment
* Proficiency with EHR systems
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage a diverse patient panel in a fast-paced outpatient setting
* Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience and hours worked
