Sigma Health Rehab is excited to offer a Full-timePhysical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position to join our team of skilled therapists in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
  • Measure & record resident's motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
  • Observe and document on resident performance.

  • Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.

  • Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.

  • Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contributes to team effort

PT Requirements Include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

  • Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License

  • Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply

Current evidence-based practices consistent with the standards and recommendations of the American Physical Therapy Association
