Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Iowa Physical Therapy license required prior to start of assignment.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy required, including evaluation and development of individualized treatment plans.
- Demonstrated competency in documentation, goal writing, and use of electronic medical record systems for timely, accurate charting.
- Ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and manage caseloads with delegation to discipline-specific therapy staff as needed.
- Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education per Iowa practice act.
- Effective patient and family education skills and experience participating in student clinical education preferred.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Outpatient.
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Schedule: 5x8 shift pattern.
- Position: Outpatient Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, documentation, charge entry, and participation in performance improvement initiatives.
