About the Role

The
Department of Urology at Albany Medical College
is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Urologist to join our growing pediatric surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice the full scope of pediatric urology within the regions only Childrens Hospital, supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric urologic care, including office-based procedures and operative care at the Bernard & Millie Duker Childrens Hospital. This role offers a balanced clinical practice with access to academic resources, collegial partners and strong APP support!
Position Highlights
Full-time faculty position within an academic medical center
Mix of inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities
Perform procedures in both the outpatient setting and the Childrens Hospital
Join a collaborative team of:
1 pediatric urologist
1.5 dedicated pediatric advanced practice providers
Access to a well-established referral network across the Capital Region and beyond
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a broad range of pediatric urologic conditions
Deliver care in outpatient clinics, inpatient consult services, and the operating room
Perform in-office procedures and hospital-based surgical procedures
Collaborate closely with pediatric surgery, pediatrics, anesthesia, nursing, and APP colleagues
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care models
Engage in teaching activities consistent with an academic practice, as appropriate

In office ultrasound, fluoro-urodynamics, cystoscopy, laboratory technician
Outstanding urology residency - with fellowship trained faculty in every Urologic subspecialty. Three residents per year with highly decorated graduates.
Regular student interactions - rotations are highly rated/valued by our students.
Multiple opportunities for clinical and basic research, facilitated by three in-house clinical research staff to support the IRB process and research-participant interactions.
Supported student and resident research rotations.
Qualifications
MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification or eligibility in Urology
Completion of an ACGME-accredited urology residency
Fellowship training in pediatric urology
Eligible for medical licensure in New York State
Academic rank open (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) and based on experience and qualifications.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Commitment to teaching, mentoring, and advancing the field of pediatric urology.
