We’re seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Specialist to process weekly payroll for field and office employees in a fast‑paced construction environment. This role ensures accurate timekeeping, compliance with prevailing wage laws, and proper job‑cost allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly/biweekly payroll and verify timecards from job sites
- Handle prevailing wage and certified payroll
- Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, and rate changes
- Coordinate with project managers to resolve timekeeping issues
- Support audits and year‑end reporting (W‑2s, 1099s)
Qualifications:
- 2+ years payroll experience; construction payroll preferred
- Knowledge of prevailing wage, certified payroll, and multi‑state labor laws
- Experience with payroll or construction software
- Strong accuracy, communication, and organizational skills
