Job Overview:
As a Payroll Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our 400+ union employees. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing construction company and make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with union contracts and other relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records, benefits, and deductions.
- Implement and optimize payroll systems and software to streamline processes.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, and adjust company practices accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Proven 2+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations..
- Union experience is a strong plus.
