Part-time Physical Therapist

Methodist Health System is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-time Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in our Texas-based hospitals and clinics. In this role, you will provide evidence-based physical therapy services to patients of diverse ages and diagnoses, helping them regain function, reduce pain, and improve mobility and quality of life.
As a Part-time Physical Therapist, you will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver therapeutic interventions consistent with physician orders and established clinical guidelines. You will use a variety of treatment techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, gait and balance training, and patient and family education. You will also collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational and speech therapists, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
You will document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record, in accordance with Methodist Health System policies, state practice acts, and payer requirements. You will regularly reassess patients to adjust treatment plans based on progress and functional goals, and communicate clearly with patients and families about expected outcomes, home exercise programs, and strategies to promote safety and independence.

This part-time position offers flexibility in scheduling, which may include weekdays, occasional weekends, and/or holidays based on patient needs and departmental operations.
