Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated OR RN (Registered Nurse) in Cleveland, OH to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care within a hospital operating room environment. As an OR RN, you will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. In this role, you will conduct preoperative assessments, verify patient identity and surgical site, review consents and medical histories, and ensure all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and properly prepared. During procedures, you will function in circulating and/or scrub roles, maintain a sterile field, manage surgical counts, administer medications within scope, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the surgical team. Postoperatively, you will assist in safe patient transfer to PACU or designated recovery areas, provide handoff reports, document all aspects of care in the electronic medical record, and reinforce postoperative instructions and education to patients and families. You will adhere to infection prevention and control practices, hospital and OR policies, AORN guidelines, and all regulatory and safety standards while actively participating in quality improvement initiatives. The OR RN will demonstrate strong critical thinking, effective time management, and compassionate communication in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, often caring for patients of diverse backgrounds and varying levels of complexity.
