Capstone Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled OR RN (Registered Nurse) in Cleveland, OH to support our hospital and surgical center partners within the Healthcare & Medical Services industry. As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in providing safe, high-quality perioperative care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Working as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure each patient receives attentive and comprehensive care throughout the operative experience.
In this role, you will be responsible for preoperative patient assessments, verifying histories, allergies, consent forms, and surgical plans, and ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly. During procedures, you will circulate and/or scrub as assigned, maintain a sterile field, monitor the patient’s status, and advocate for their safety and comfort. You will accurately administer medications as ordered, manage IV lines, document care and patient responses in the electronic health record, and support post-anesthesia recovery by monitoring vital signs, pain levels, and overall stability before transfer to the appropriate unit.
You will be expected to apply sound clinical judgment, follow evidence-based perioperative standards and infection control protocols, and respond effectively to changes in patient condition or intraoperative emergencies. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will provide education and reassurance to patients and families, coordinate with the broader healthcare team, and contribute to handoffs that are clear and thorough. Attention to detail, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality are critical to success.
