About the Role
Principal Embedded Software Engineer
Indotronix is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer, Maple Grove, MN Work Schedule: 9/80 Ability to Obtain Secret Clearances Bachelor's Degree
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead software design, development, testing, and integration activities
- Plan, estimate, and track project schedules, cost, and performance
- Support software verification, testing, and quality assurance activities
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including systems, safety, and architecture
- Oversee subcontracted software work when applicable
- Ensure compliance with engineering processes, standards, and audits
- Manage risks, resolve issues, and communicate project status to stakeholders
- Support milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and deliverables
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in C++ embedded software development
- Knowledge of RTOS or real-time systems
- Understanding of software engineering processes and lifecycle
- Experience leading small development teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of EVMS or project tracking tools
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CMMI, cybersecurity (RMF/ATO), and system integration
- Experience in defense, munitions, or combat systems
- Knowledge of Ethernet communications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
