About the Role
Mission Health, a leading healthcare provider based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will combine direct patient care with clinical leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and patient-centered services across the unit. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator will oversee daily clinical operations, coordinate staffing and patient assignments, and serve as a resource and mentor for bedside nurses and support staff. Working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members, you will help develop and implement patient care plans, monitor clinical outcomes, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with strong clinical assessment skills, sound judgment, and a passion for coaching and developing others. You will participate in and support evidence-based practice, ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies, and promote a culture of safety, respect, and accountability. Responsibilities include assisting with orientation and ongoing education of nursing staff, facilitating effective communication among team members and with patients and families, and escalating clinical or operational concerns appropriately. You will actively contribute to throughput and bed management, support discharge planning, and help optimize resource utilization to enhance the patient experience.
