Music Therapist
About the Role
Point Quest Group is seeking a compassionate and creative Music Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department within the Healthcare & Medical industry. In this role, you will use evidence-based music therapy interventions to support children, adolescents, and adults with diverse developmental, behavioral, and medical needs, helping them build skills that foster growth, independence, and improved quality of life. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will complete assessments, design and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide individual and group sessions in educational, clinical, and community-based settings. You will utilize a range of music therapy approaches—including improvisation, receptive listening, recreative experiences, and songwriting or composition—to address communication, social-emotional regulation, cognitive functioning, motor skills, and adaptive behaviors. Collaboration is central to this position: you will work closely with special educators, behavioral and mental health professionals, therapists, and healthcare providers to align interventions with broader treatment goals and IEP or care plans, ensuring continuity of care across environments. You will actively involve families and caregivers, offering training and strategies to generalize skills beyond sessions. Our culture at Point Quest Group is supportive and inclusive, valuing innovation, diversity, and professional growth. You will be encouraged to share ideas, participate in program development, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, tracking progress through data-driven measures, and communicating clinical findings in both written reports and team meetings. You will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical judgment, maintain professional boundaries, and uphold ethical standards in all interactions. This position is ideal for a Board-Certified Music Therapist who is passionate about person-centered care, eager to collaborate, and motivated to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with unique needs. Point Quest Group supports your ongoing development through supervision, training, and opportunities to expand your clinical competencies, allowing you to grow your career while helping others achieve their potential.
