Note: We are seeking an experienced litigator with medical malpractice defense and/or nursing home defense experience. Candidates with a history of frequent job changes will not be considered. Job Description Handle medical malpractice defense and/or nursing home defense matters from case inception through resolution Manage case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation Take ownership of case development and move files forward proactively Prepare clients, experts, and witnesses for deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial Draft and argue substantive motions and other key pleadings Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure and provide strategic recommendations Work closely with attorneys and staff in a team-oriented litigation environment Maintain strong client communication and deliver high-quality legal work in a timely manner Qualifications 3+ years of directly relevant litigation experience Strong background in medical malpractice defense and/or nursing home defense Trial prep experience required; actual trial experience preferred Strong writing, deposition, and case management skills Proactive, accountable, and team-oriented work style Stable job history preferred Florida Bar admission strongly preferred or required based on active practice needs Why You Will Love Working Here Collegial, team-based environment High-quality defense work with sophisticated matters Long-term growth opportunity for the right litigator Strong compensation tied to experience and productivity Opportunity to work with a firm that is highly respected in its niche practice areas JPC-864 Job Type: Full-time Benefits Dental insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
