Medical Lead Veterinarian
All Dogs&Cats Veterinary Hospital - Glenwood Springs
Glenwood Springs, Colorado, US
About the Role
All Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital in Glenwood Springs, CO, is seeking a dedicated Medical Lead Veterinarian to guide our clinical team and provide high-quality care for dogs and cats. In this role, you will serve as the primary medical leader for a full-service small animal hospital that offers comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventive services. You will oversee the standard of care, support and mentor your veterinary and technical colleagues, and help shape the medical direction of a compassionate, team-oriented practice.
Working closely with our experienced staff, you will perform thorough physical examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and manage both routine and complex medical cases. You will regularly perform surgeries such as spays, neuters, and soft-tissue procedures, as well as dental cleanings, radiographs, and extractions, using sound anesthesia and pain-management protocols. You will interpret laboratory and imaging results, provide clear medical documentation, and ensure continuity of care for your patients.
Client communication is central to this position. As Medical Lead Veterinarian, you will educate pet owners on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health strategies, emphasizing long-term wellness and strengthening the bond between pets and their families. You will model and promote compassionate, respectful communication that reflects our client-focused culture.
As a medical leader within the practice, you will collaborate with hospital management to maintain and refine clinical protocols, support a culture of teamwork and learning, and foster a supportive environment where veterinarians, technicians, and support staff can grow professionally. You will help guide the medical team in case discussions, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace where high-quality medicine and patient comfort come first.
This position is ideal for a small-animal veterinarian who enjoys both hands-on clinical work and medical leadership. At All Dogs & Cats Veterinary Hospital, you will have the opportunity to deepen your clinical skills, mentor others, and build lasting relationships with pets and their owners while working in a collaborative, caring environment dedicated to excellent veterinary care and client education.
