divh2Medical Assistant/h2pLocation: 4767 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA/ppSchedule: 8 hours between /ppRequired Qualifications:/pulliMedical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI./liliDemonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries./lili2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting./liliProficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulli2+ years working as a MA in Internal Medicine./liliExperience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans./liliExperience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions./liliPhlebotomy certification./liliUnderstanding of medical terminology./liliInterest in temp to perm./li/ulpJob Duties:/pulliGreet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record./liliAssist with tracking and monitoring department specific data./liliExplain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice./liliSet up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs./liliClean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines./liliAdminister immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider./liliDraw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider./li/ulpNote: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
