About the Role
US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of parts, tools, and supplies while ensuring maintenance personnel receive materials needed to complete repairs, inspections, and facility support operations on schedule.; Maintain inventory records, monitor stock usage, verify incoming shipments, and adjust ordering priorities to ensure critical repair parts, materials, and equipment remain available without disrupting maintenance activities.; Inspect received shipments for accuracy, damage, and quantity discrepancies while organizing materials in designated storage locations to support safe handling, efficient distribution, and proper accountability procedures.; Plan and organize storage areas by evaluating available space, material characteristics, and handling requirements to improve accessibility, efficiency, and protection of equipment, supplies, and maintenance materials.; Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and position supplies, pallets, and equipment while following established safety procedures and supporting maintenance shop operations efficiently.
