Overview Mainframe Developer (Cobol on the Z) – Hybrid in Chicago Job details: Posted 17 April 2026 • Location: Chicago, IL • Reference: Responsibilities Provide Cobol development on the IBM z/OS mainframe, using COBOL programming, JCL, and DB2. Work with stored procedures (DB2) and ensure proper integration with related data components. Understand mainframe to Java integration: comprehend how calls are made between mainframe and Java layers (hands-on Java development not required). Contribute to regulatory-driven projects or initiatives, ensuring compliance and traceability. Qualifications Strong COBOL programming skills on the z/OS platform. Experience with JCL and DB2, including stored procedures development. Familiarity with mainframe to Java integration concepts. Experience on regulatory-driven projects or initiatives. Candidates with securities lending domain knowledge or related financial services experience are preferred. Work Arrangement: Hybrid in Downtown Chicago 3X per week; Long-term contract; 40 hours per week; M-F.
