About the Role
Good Samaritan is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Luther Manor team as a full-time day-shift nurse. In this role, you will provide direct, hands-on nursing care to residents within a long-term care environment, supporting Good Samaritan Health Center’s commitment to comprehensive, holistic healthcare for underserved communities. Working closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, you will help ensure that each resident receives safe, dignified, and person-centered care that supports their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. As the LPN on the unit, you will perform routine and focused assessments within your scope of practice, monitor vital signs, administer medications and treatments as ordered, observe and report changes in condition, and document all care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record. You will assist with wound care, catheter care, and infection prevention measures, promote comfort and pain management interventions as directed, and support safe mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living to maintain each resident’s highest level of functioning. This position plays a key role in building trusting relationships with residents and their families, providing clear communication, education, and reassurance while modeling the values of compassion, integrity, and respect. You will actively contribute to care planning, attend and participate in team huddles and care conferences as appropriate, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and quality of care on the unit. Within Good Samaritan’s culture of wellness and community engagement, you will be encouraged to grow professionally through ongoing training and development, while working in a supportive environment that prioritizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and meaningful patient outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to serve others, particularly vulnerable and underserved populations. Reliability, positive communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities on a fast-paced day shift are essential to success in this LPN role at Luther Manor.
