Virginia CRNA Locum Tenens | Autonomy, Strong Surgical Collaboration & Flexible Scheduling
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for ongoing locum tenens coverage across two Virginia hospital sites under the same health network.
These facilities offer an exceptional anesthesia practice environment, featuring strong surgical collaboration, diverse case exposure, and the opportunity to work with supportive OR teams that value clinical independence and patient-focused care.
Location Details:
Martinsville, VA
- Practice Model: All-CRNA group – highly autonomous practice
- Team Structure: CRNA-only, collaborative environment with experienced anesthetists
- Facility Type: Rural community hospital
- Coverage: CRNA first call every 4th night and every 4th weekend (post-call day off)
- Case Types:
- General (including carotids and VATS)
- ENT (healthy pediatric)
- Urology
- Orthopedics
- Endoscopy
- No OB, cardiac, spinal, or neurosurgical cases
- Environment: Average of 4 ORs running daily; 9 total OR suites
- Skills Required: Proficiency in spinals and regional anesthesia; ultrasound-guided nerve block experience preferred
- Facility Type: 359-bed regional medical center
- Case Volume: ~6,200 annually (includes OB cases)
- Team Structure: Collaborative model of physicians and CRNAs

- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Virginia CRNA license
- Certification: NBCRNA Certified
- Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-certification anesthesia experience required
- Skills: Must be proficient in spinals and comfortable working independently
