Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a well-supported community hospital in Rochester, Indiana.

This is a highly attractive anesthesia assignment offering a manageable call rotation, diverse case mix, strong OR collaboration, and an EPIC EMR environment—ideal for CRNAs seeking consistency, autonomy, and a collegial rural practice setting

• Practice Model: CRNA-led model (3 CRNAs daily)

Schedule & Call

• OR Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Call Coverage:
  • 1 CRNA on call daily
  • Call Rotation: 1:3
  • Call Response Time: 20 minutes
• Balanced schedule with predictable workflow and shared call responsibility

Case Mix
CRNAs will independently manage anesthesia for a variety of routine and specialty cases, including:

• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Endoscopy / GI
• Well Pediatrics
• Regional Anesthesia
• Spinals & Blocks

This is a no hearts, no major trauma environment with a steady, manageable surgical volume.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations and risk assessments
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
• Administer general, regional, and MAC anesthesia
• Perform and manage airway techniques and physiologic monitoring
• Provide intraoperative anesthesia management and post-anesthesia care
• Document care accurately within EPIC EMR
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing, and perioperative staff

Candidate Requirements

• Active CRNA Certification (NBCRNA)
• Indiana RN & CRNA licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in regional anesthesia
  • Comfortable with spinals and epidurals
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to practice independently
