Litigation Attorney

We are seeking a high-caliber Construction Litigation Attorney to join our premier practice in Bloomfield Hills. This role is designed for a litigator who excels in the \"chess match\" of complex construction disputes—from handling intricate discovery and depositions to crafting winning motions. You will manage cases through all phases of litigation, working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver results for high-profile clients in the construction, transportation, and education sectors. Location: Bloomfield Hills, MI Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire Focus: Construction Disputes, Strategic Motion Practice, & Client Advocacy What Youll Do: Manage all phases of litigation, from pleadings through discovery, depositions, motion practice, and hearings Draft persuasive legal briefs and motions and conduct in-depth legal research Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups to deliver strategic, client-focused solutions Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development efforts. What Were Looking For: 3-7 years of litigation experience, with a preference for construction law experience Additional experience in employment, transportation, or education law is a plus Proven ability to handle complex litigation matters independently and as part of a team Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills A client-first mindset with demonstrated experience interacting directly with clients Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan • Comfort learning and working with new legal technology and software systems.
