Legal Operations Supervisor

Trustpoint.One is pleased to partner with a respected, mission-driven litigation firm in its search for an Operations Supervisor to join its Los Angeles, California office. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced legal operations professional to step into a leadership role supporting a high-volume litigation practice while managing workflow, supervising staff, and helping drive operational excellence across multiple offices.

Position Summary
The Operations Supervisor will oversee a team of legal support specialists while providing hands-on support to attorneys and ensuring exceptional client service. This role combines day-to-day legal operations management with staff supervision, workflow coordination, and oversight of filing processes in state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Workflow Management
- Supervise, assign, and review work for a team of legal support professionals
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback
- Manage high-volume workflow distribution across multiple offices and practice groups
- Ensure clear handoff of assignments and maintain quality standards
- Support implementation of new tools and technologies to improve efficiency
Court Filings & Legal Support
- Prepare and oversee state and federal court filings, including e-filing and service of process
- Manage PACER/CM-ECF filings, docket monitoring, and deadline tracking
- Coordinate hearing reservations and scheduling with attorneys and court systems
- Create, edit, format, and proofread legal documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Respond to multiple attorney requests while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
Additional Duties
- Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- 7+ years of law firm experience required; high-volume litigation environment strongly preferred
- 5+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience within a law firm or professional services setting
- Strong expertise in state and federal court filing procedures, e-filing, and service of process
- Hands-on experience with PACER/CM-ECF and docket management
- Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and applicable state rules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training is a plus
Compensation
Starting at $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience

All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time. Infrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
