DescriptionAs a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Corporate, Tax & Transactions Service Line, you'll play a key part in supporting a wide range of corporate law transactions such as drafting and reviewing transactional documents to help form, merge, acquire, maintain and dissolve business entities. You will manage multiple fast-paced, deadline-driven projects across differing jurisdictions, prepare and file UCC filings, and contribute to critical due diligence efforts. We're looking for a professional with 5+ years of corporate transactional legal administrative experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized and brings a strong work ethic along with sharp problem-solving skills. Where You'll Work The Legal Administrative Assistant is an hourly non-exempt position and will work full-time from our Tampa, Florida office. What You'll Do
- Draft, format and review corporate documents relating to business formation, mergers, acquisitions, and/or dissolutions, including but not limited to, attorney confirmation letters, responses to opposing counsel, stock certificates, annual resolutions and minute books
- Manage multiple time-sensitive projects, applying various procedural guidelines of differing jurisdictions
- Support case preparation by organizing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences.
- Maintain and update client files, case documents, and transaction records
- Search, review and file Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings
- Assist with due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, including researching business entities on various state agency websites
- Coordinate apostille process for documents from state agencies
- Track case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients and providers
- Provide additional administration support such as responding to client requests, transcribing dictation, scheduling, calendaring deadlines, answering phones and managing correspondence
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years of corporate transactional legal administrative assistant experience
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks in a demanding environment
- Excellent \"people\" skills and ability to identify solutions when faced with a problem
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and exemplify a high level of patience

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit frequently (up to 6 hours per day)
- Static sitting position for up to 1 hour at a time
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds (about 30 minutes per day)
