Lead Carpenter

The University of Kansas Health System - - Responsibilities: Take down existing walls, ceilings, doors, and door frames; build walls per print with studs; hang and finish sheetrock; hang vinyl wall covering; install cove base built cabinets; build and install shelves; Install doors; stain, varnish, and hang doors; install suspended ceiling grid and tile; Read and understand blueprints and drawings; Assist with planning of in-house construction projects; performs daily assessment and ensures compliance to standards; Directs the daily workflow and productivity of carpenters; assist with selection of new employees; orient, train, and assess competency of staff
